The company Carlsberg was founded by Jacob Christian Jacobsen, who built his brewery on the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark, basing its name on a combination of his five-year-old son's name, Carl, and the Danish word "bjerg," which means "hill." Thus, in 1847, the Carlsberg company was born.
In Ukraine, Carlsberg's history began in 1996 when Baltic Beverages Holding merged with PJSC PBK "Slavutych" (Zaporizhia Brewery No. 2). In 1999, PJSC "Lviv Brewery" began cooperation with BBH. In 2004, the grand opening of the newly built Carlsberg Ukraine Kyiv Brewery took place, with a production capacity of 473 million liters of beer per year. In 2008, BBH Ukraine became part of the Carlsberg Group and was renamed "Slavutych," Carlsberg Group.
Today, Carlsberg Ukraine offers a wide range of beer, cider, energy drinks, soft drinks, and kvass on the Ukrainian market and enjoys a high level of loyalty and trust from our consumers.
