The TORBA supermarket chain, one of the active members of the Association of Regional Networks, has acquired a portion of EKO market stores in the western region of the country.

     As of the beginning of 2023, the EKO market had 35 operational stores in six western regions (Volyn, Rivne, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, and Ivano-Frankivsk).
 TORBA acquired 20 out of the 35 existing EKO market stores in the western part of the country and began operating in the new Khmelnytskyi region.
The headquarters of TORBA is located in Chernivtsi. The retailer positions itself as a network of various formats, initially starting with large warehouse-style markets with open-plan sales floors and later opening express markets in residential areas. Including Avanta, by the end of 2023, the network consists of 52 stores (Torba, Family Store) and ranks among the top 20y food retailers in Ukraine by the number of trading halls.
